Jan 18, 2010 - Cathlyn its so good to see you back on youtube. Great idea for a wrap. Almost like a Mexican/Korean Ssam.

matahariwk Says:

Jan 18, 2010 - Thank you James! I can't post the entire cooking show on youtube, but i plan to post a recipe or two in 10 min lengths. So more fusion recipes to come... :-)

Jan 18, 2010 - Cathlyn, I understand about rules, contacts ect. just keep posting great vid trrue to your Korean roots. Btw I am a southern boy (as if you did not know) and the saying stay true to your roots means you can travel and absorb but remember where you came from. I see that in you live away from where you grew up but you are still from where you grew up. Yes you can speak Russian, you live in America and speak English but you are still from a town in Korea. You are true to your roots.

matahariwk Says:

Jan 18, 2010 - Thanks James. Yes, I am 100% Korean, and proud of my culture and heritage. That's why I'm trying to also educate the younger generation koreans who live overseas about their roots through cooking. I will be posting new recipes in the near future! Take care.

Jan 19, 2010 - Maybe I should find myself a korean wife, of course with a certain cooking skill. But I also hope that you will produce some more videos of authentic traditional dishes. Nothing beats grandma's homemade traditional foods:)

NattHrafn Says:

Jan 19, 2010 - @matahariwk Even If I'm not asian, I still have a huge deal of asian inspiration. I met a lot of sweet and friendly asians, I dont think cooking is always about roots. I mean, if a scandinavian white guy can cook asian food, pretty much everyone can. Great to see you are a great role model for modern generations:).

Jan 19, 2010 - You're right about one thing. Nothing beats grandma's homemade traditional foods. Did you check out my season 1 videos? They are of my mom and grandma's traditional recipes. :-)

matahariwk Says:

Jan 19, 2010 - Actually, I forgot to mention that my other target is non Asians. :-) I'm glad to know you're inspired by Asian food and culture!

Aug 30, 2010 - @matahariwk Hi, Cathlyn. Thank you for your great videos. I like watching them since you have fusion style. I live in US so I can relate to what you do here;) Have you thought about dividing your video into 2 or 3 segments and post all of them? That way, you can have more flexibility and avoid eliminating any important information.

Jun 14, 2011 - whats in your multigrain rice?

matahariwk Says:

Jun 14, 2011 - @SAYZLEE I believe there were barley, sweet rice, brown rice, millets, black rice and a couple of other grains!

Sep 13, 2011 - Hi Cathlyn! I love this cooking show and all the recipes. Thank you for making Korean cooking simple and understandable! I especially love your "carb consciousness" as I am very carb conscious myself. I love Korean food so it's great to know there are so many options for those like myself who watch carbs. I was in Korea recently, and I liked that in many places you had to ask for rice. The veggie and meat combination are great on their own in my opinion. :)

matahariwk Says:

Sep 13, 2011 - @manoshalki Thank you for your message. I'm glad you enjoy watching my shows and recipes. I am carb conscious so I'm careful of not consuming too much starchy carbs like rice, potatoes and pasta. Combination of good carbs (leafy greens) and meats are definitely good and healthy! :-)
