Spanish Omelette preparation: Description: Cooking the Spanish OmeletteThis series courtesy of the Online Spanish Grocery www.IbericDelice.com describes the steps required to prepare a Spanish Omelette, typical, traditionnal and national spanish recipe. It is an omelette made with potatoes and an onion. This video shows and explains the second step for cooking a spanish omeltte, "tortilla española". This step consists in placing the mix of eggs and minced fried potatoes in the pan with hot olive oil. First cooking of this side during 5-6 mns depending on quantities, and fire heat is set to low. The the omelette shall be turned to the other side in order to finish the cooking. Liquid ("baveuse"), just stop the fire and then serve.
