Philips brings simplicity to home living with four new domestic appliances: Philips AirfryerTreat the family to their favorite fried foods and prepare healthier, tastier meals with the minimum fuss with the new Philips airfryer, a revolution in home cooking that uses no oil as it fries. airfryer uses patented Rapid Air technology to circulate hot air around a grill component, creating delicious meals with up to 80% less fat. Whether it's perfect French fries, crispy chicken nuggets, delicately browned meat or golden pastries, food is cooked and crisped to perfection -- and because airfryer requires no heat-up time, fries are ready in just twelve minutes. Complete meals are simple to create with the Food Separator Accessory, which cooks and crisps several ingredients at once -- without mixing flavors. Together with an Integrated Air Filter, airfryer's hot air system also eliminates smelly hot oil vapors. An in-built timer lets you pre-set cooking times of up to 30 minutes, and the Adjustable Temperature Control runs up to 200°C.

Nov 8, 2011 - Good for frozen food like nuggets, wedges, fries that you buy from the supermarket. For homemake fries, the edges are crunchy but the overall is not crispy. Quite a let down for that kind of price.

akittsy Says:

Nov 9, 2011 - I will stick to my oven/chips and save £120 thanks!

moedem Says:

Nov 10, 2011 - Maybe a hairdryer blowing into a greaseproof bag with a few holes in it could do the same thing

Philips Says:

Nov 11, 2011 - @djgups The airfryer uses a unique patented combination of high-speed air circulation, with a top grill, called Rapid Air technology. The Rapid Air technology makes the hot air circulate very rapidly around the ingredients in the basket. This heats up the ingredients in the basket from all sides at once, making it a healthy, fast and easy method to prepare tasty food. Food prepared in the airfryer is deliciously crispy on the outside, without being dry on the inside.

djgups Says:

Nov 11, 2011 - @Philips Please explain to me how this is any different from my state of the art Miele Convection oven that has a mega blasting circulation fan that works in combination with the top grill and gets the job done in minutes. The Philips airdryer even consumes the same amount of electricity as a big oven. Still, hats off for the effort. There are plenty out there who do not understand the mechanics of this machine. So, it should do well and I wish you all the best!!

Nov 11, 2011 - Respond to this video... I do wish to point out that people who want to live healthy eat microwave chips that require no oil, not even a spoonful as required for making chips with this machine. They are also quicker to make with no cleaning to do afterwards. I just wish there was some serious innovation instead of a compact, portable grill with a high speed fan!

Nov 13, 2011 - Revolutionary ... it's a bloody mini oven!!!

arcadian91007 Says:

Nov 28, 2011 - @djgups you make a lot of sense, I think they call it the air fryer, to distort the reality, it is essentially an oven which cooks food by circulating hot air, and a good convection oven does exactly the same thing, case closed. You can't call something fried if you use no oil, that's it, it is ROASTED ,or broiled, but not fried.

jalit Says:

Dec 2, 2011 - Best tasting fry's my ass, you can't beat cooking in oil for flavour and crunchiness. This is just a mini oven.

Philips Says:

Dec 6, 2011 - @jalit Don't knock the AirFryer fries till you try them.

Itiner100 Says:

Dec 12, 2011 - @Philips I'm thinking of buying one. The guy in the video says that it contains up to 8 percent less fat. Shouldn't it be more like 100? Since no fat is being used at all?

Itiner100 Says:

Dec 12, 2011 - @blu1337flame haha, I was thinking the same.

Itiner100 Says:

Dec 12, 2011 - @arcadian91007 Good point. Unless there's something in the patented technology they're so hush hush about that circumvents the time tested definition of frying.

Flamecandy2 Says:

Dec 16, 2011 - HA! I just bought one just now it was really fun cooking french fries, nuggets and even fish sticks!!

Philips Says:

Dec 16, 2011 - @Flamecandy2 Happy to hear your enjoying your AirFryer.

x61lenov0 Says:

Dec 27, 2011 - couldn't they use it to fry up in the ISS ? they can't fry in the conventional way becouse the oil vapour would block their air filters, but with something like this they might actually fry-cook food

teenyjem Says:

Dec 31, 2011 - i want one but sooo expensive! any deals???

Fjnoxluvscomixhaa Says:

Jan 6, 2012 - @Itiner100 Actually he said it's upto 80% less fat..so yeah XD

missverale Says:

Jan 7, 2012 - @Flamecandy2 You like fish sticks?

Philips Says:

Jan 9, 2012 - @missverale Are you referring to South Park?
