Music by: Jason Shaw http://www.youtube.com/user/audionautixI have received a couple of requests for this recipe. I have even heard from a little birdie that Trish may have never even tasted meatloaf (gasp!)This is a quick and easy meal that everyone likes (even kids). The variations are endless. I sometimes will make a box of stuffing mix and place it in the center of the loaf so that you get a "stuffed" meatloaf, I also sometimes add cubed cheese to make it a cheesy meatloaf.Recipe in the video.2 eggs1/2 cup dried or fresh breadcrumbs1/2 milk1/2 oats (large flake or quick cooking)1 tsp salt and pepper1 tsp garlic powder1 tsp Worcestershire sauce1 1/2 pounds ground beef (if you use 1lb, just reduce the other ingredients)Mix the meat with the above ingredients until well combined. Pat into a loaf shape and place in a greased baking pan (loaf pan works too).Sauce1 cup ketchup2 tbsp brown sugar1 tbsp mustard (whatever mustard you want)1 tbsp Worcestershire sauceMix sauce ingredients and pour over top of meatloaf.Bake at 350F for about an hour or until a meat thermometer inserted in the center reaches 160F.Let rest 10-15 minutes (this will make it easier to slice) and serve!Mashed potatoes, to me, are a must to go with meatloaf!Another variation I sometimes use:Mix one box of stuffing mix into the meat with the eggs (quick and easy seasoning, no measuring)

Apr 27, 2011 - @KraftyKatsy I live alone also but SO love meatloaf . . . so what I do is bake the meatloaf in my muffin pan! They freeze really well and I can take out one or two, depending on how much I want tp "pig out" LOL. Also, I can slice it and it makes a really good sandwich on a toasted english muffin.

May 13, 2011 - @Indigodrought I prefer the oats to breadcrumbs and they are probably better for you too.

Nov 16, 2011 - I have a few questions: I don't have Worcestershire sauce so what can I substitute with it? Can I use instant oats in a package (Quaker oats)? And can I use ground pork instead of ground beef since I don't have any at the time being. For the sauce same with the Worcestershire sauce and I don't have brown sugar nor mustard. I have oyster sauce and some other Asian flavorings though.

Nov 16, 2011 - @mivatakuzi You are asking to replace pretty much the entire recipe with something else. I would recommend you google "pork meatloaf recipe" and see what you can find.

Dec 11, 2011 - @mivatakuzi If you mix up all your ingredients I think that would taste delicious, like the pork dumplings at the china buffet, yummm.....

Jan 9, 2012 - that's how i make mine but some times i add ketchup for more sweeter taste ketchup inside along with everything else except the milk. you can add alittle cooked rice with that and a finley chopped bell pepper too.for the sauce i do the same but sometimes i use tomatoe sauce or paste and add alittle ketchup to loosen the sauce along with the rest you added. great job, it comes out very moist .

6catss Says:

Jan 9, 2012 - 1 other thing if you put fennel in the meat it makes it taste italian style. otherwise it's american.
